My garage door can’t be opened. What could be the problem?
1. First check the springs on your garage door. In the case of sectional doors, springs are in the attachment above the door. Look for a long torque tube that covers the width of the door. Feathers should be right in the middle. Some doors can have up to 4 springs on the door. To find out if your spring is broken, you need to find a gap in the roll. If the spring hangs, you know that it needs to be replaced.
The spring on the side of the garage door is clearly visible on the door. Make sure they are properly attached to the hinges and not loose.
NEVER OPERATE GARAGE DOORS WITH MARKET SPRING! If you find that your spring is damaged, contact a local garage door repair Sherman Oaks technician for service. Please note that when changing springs you must replace all springs for this door.
2. Next, you want to make sure that the sliding lock or lockable stroller (red wire hanging from the motor rail) is turned off. The side key is located inside the garage door on one or both sides of the door. The carriage lock or emergency release key is located on the motor rail. To start the engine again, pull the red wire up. You hear him enter the door and see that he is in a different locking position. As soon as the cover is removed, the machine starts. If you want to stop the engine because your engine is broken, pull the red cable trolley release down.
3. Third, you can check your cable. Door wires are located on each side of the door and connected to the torque tube. Does the cable look out of sync or not hurt properly? Another easy way to find out if your cable is damaged is to make your door look crooked in the hole.
4. The last thing you can do is see if your bike is powered. It is common for your circuit breaker to insert a fuse. If your bike doesn’t work at all when you click on the wall button or your portable remote control, this can be a problem. Check your circuit breaker, connect other sources, and contact an electrician if necessary.
